How can you tell who you really are? If you know who you are today, does it mean you will know who you are tomorrow?

I remember this book from when I was young, "Nuestras Sombras" by María Teresa Budge and how the protagonist deal with a really shity hand she's be dealt, including a possible divorce and a lot of crappy things... the connection comes with a saying I used to hear growing up: We all have three faces: One that we share with people every day, one that we keep to ourselves and one that is so terrible that we never show to anyone under any circumstance.

I have to admit that the Bay Area changes me for the better every time I am here.  It's part my church family, part my mom's influence and part the realization that I need to grow in so many areas and for so many reasons... I don't really know if I have lost any weight but damn it all, body feels good; I was able to actually do pushups Monday... can't remember when was the last time I was able to do that

I'm also having to learn patience and humility.  There is nothing worst for a control freak than to be completely no control over a situation.  The hiring manager at Georgia just told me that, because of budget issues, the position is held up either temporarily or permanently 😐

What's next? USU (Utah State University in Logan) and ISU (Iowa State University in Ames) are hiring instructional designers. It's a long shot but what the hell... the worst shot is the one you don't take.
